In this article, we're going to cover how important Field Reports are in Pegasus. Let's cover the basics of what Field Reports are and how they can be used:

Pegasus, out-of-the-box, has three (3) system template Field Reports:

  1. Daily Construction Report:

This report is your standard Daily Construction Report. Each day a contractor is working on your project's job site it is recommended that a Daily Construction Report be completed to track work activity, personnel, equipment, weather, and work production. Users can also enter their own time and mileage on the job site that day.

  2. Time & Material Report:

The Time & Material Report (T&M Report) is used to track out of scope or extra work performed by a contractor on your construction project. A Daily Construction Report will most likely still be created that day, however the T&M Report will track more specifically the extra work and the personnel/equipment used for that work.

  3. Journal Report:

The Journal Report acts as a Diary or Reference Document. Typically, users will create Journal Reports to jot down notes, conversations, work performed (away from the construction site). They can track their own Time & Mileage from the Journal Report.

Each of these reports are designed with standard fields for users to fill out while in the field from a mobile device or working at their computer. The data collected from these reports can be referenced and searched for as-needed once the reports have been approved and locked in the system.

The data also powers other features and functions as well in Pegasus. It's extremely important that users are capturing as much data as they can on these reports each time they are being completed.
